Transfer files from Laptop to Mini

Hello to all,

I have a MacBook Pro (Mid 2010) and a Mini 2012, looking to have them both transfer files between them. ie: pictures, files. folders. etc. What course is the easiest or simplest to do this. All suggestions will be welcomed. OS have been updated (not Sierra yet) and backups done. Thank you for your time reading this and suggestions given.

To accomplish this, there are 2 ways to go:

1. Use Flash Drives for "transferring" files from one machine to the other.

2. Connect one machine to the other via a Firewire 800 cable. Boot up one of the machines. Then, boot the other machine in Target Disk Mode (hold down the T key on its keyboard while it boots up). That machine's hard drive will show up on the desktop of the other machine. You should then be able to copy/move files/folders between the two drives.
