Slow laptop and apps not running

I have a Apple MacBook Pro I suffer from two problems first RAM memory consumption and slow laptop
And the second some installed programs do not work , such as video players and Adobe programs and I do not know why
If possible, give me the solution

First, what exact MacBook Pro model do you have?

Secondly, have you been making backups to an external device?

Third, have you ever done any disk cleanup/maintenance/repairs to the internal hard drive? Also, how much free space is left on the drive?

Fourth, have you been updating your software regularly, ie, when the updates become available?

Once we have that information, we can help you better. But, it will not be a simple, one shot fix. It will definitely require effort, and possibly the need to spend some money.
