I do not use the built in message facility - I use gmail.
I want to be able to select a picture from iphoto, compress it and send it as an attachment to a gmail message.
How can I do that?
Currently I copy the picture to a memory stick, move to a windows machine, open the picture with microsoft picture manager, edit and compress it, save it then attach it to my email. It is driving me mad.
If I could do it easily on my imac desktop then I would get rid of the windows machine altogether.
Any ideas gratefully received.

Sorry, how ...
My Mail is currently disabled (not sure how, it was setup that way for me)
I do not want any mail on my C Drive, I prefer it on the server where I can see it wherever I am.
I also like the way Gmail is organised, it splits mail from promotions and spam. It is very effective and saves me much time.
If I can maintain both above that would suit, but HOW do I set it up?
Thanks

If you just want to use gmail in the browser then fine, but that's not going to talk to iPhoto.

To send photos from iPhoto, Export them from the File menu and send then via the browser in gmail.
