I've been working on a Microsoft Word 2003 document on my Windows laptop, but since last week I've had to put it on a flash drive and update it from a Mac. It converted it to it's version of .doc programs without any problems, and I've been using it for a week. But today I tried to update it further, and this message popped up:
The document “Second Draft.doc” could not be opened. The file is not in the right format. The file might be corrupted, truncated, or in a different format than you expect.
PLEASE tell me that there's some way I can retrieve that text, or else I've wasted hours of work this past week!
