Hi,

I´ve got several times during last week a Norton Security popup window that says: "The computer "..." is attempting to access net session_mac on your computer. Do you want to allow this connection?"
And I can choose Block or Allow from that popup window.

There´s a photo of that popup window attached.

What does this mean?
(What I should do about it?)

Thanks a lot!

cheers, Minna

Hello and welcome.

-Which model Mac?
-Which version of OS X?
-Which version of Norton Security is installed?
-If you visit WhatIsMyIP.com does it display the same IP address as you are getting in the popup?

Normally, Norton Security and apps like it cause more problems than they are worth. In addition, many ISP companies tell their customers that apps like Norton Security are required, or install them automatically, but they are not needed for Macs.
