I have a newer Mac (circa 2013 iMac running Yosemite 10.10.5. Whenever I try to load older MacSoft games such as Tropico or Age of Empires, I get the same error message that it is unable to load because the application may be damaged or incomplete.
Is there a patch or something that I need to download to access the older games?
Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome.

This is simply due to the age of the games. They were released many years before your Mac and the version of OS X that you are running. In addition, they may require older Apple software technology like Rosetta or a PowerPC processor to install/run.

Since MacSoft has gone out of business, you are probably out of luck to get them installed.
