Hi.
I'll try and make this easy to read.
I took my mac into the genius bar recently, they brilliantly cleared the issues and updated me to Mavericks from Snow Leopard. All i had to do was go home and put back (from the back up) all my files, etc.
Doing this seems to have taken me back to snowleopard? Where as another user account has the mavericks on it?

What the blooming nora have I done?
I don't want to go back to the other user and take thousands of files with me.
How can I put this maverick malarkey back into use in my account?

Any help would be wonderful.

Louise
p.s it's ok to talk to me like i'm an idiot with this, i need it pretty much said in laymans terms so i can understand!!!

Hello and welcome.

-How did you restore your files to the newly installed Mavericks OS - Migration Assistant, erase and restore, clone, etc?
-In Apple > System Preferences > Users & Groups, are there multiple users listed?

We'll see if we can diagnose what went on and get you back up and running.
