Why are my deleted yahoo emails being stored on my hard drive while using Mac Mail? I have searched everywhere trying to figure this out and no luck. I don't wanted deleted emails stored, once I hit delete I want them gone. What am I missing on the set up? Someone please help.

I do not use Apple's Mail program (use Outlook), and although I have an EMail account on yahoo, I do not use much at all (in fact, I rarely check it). So, the first thing that would be good to know is why you are "communicating" via yahoo EMails? It would be better to just set up an EMial account with your ISP.

Secondly, I tried a google search of your exact sentence "Why are my deleted yahoo emails being stored on my hard drive while using Mac Mail?", and here are the results:

I only looked at a couple of those "hits" myself, but most likely, the search term I used is too broad. So, here are the results of a google search of "Deleting yahoo EMails in Apple's mail under Mavericks":

Mail > Preferences > Accounts
Select the Account
Mailbox Behaviours tab
Check the setting in the Trash section.
