Import yahoo contacts to Mac contacts

Hi!
I have a Mac book 13". Mail works to my old yahoo contacts but they do not appear in Contacts. Is it possible to import the yahoo.xlsx contacts into Mac contacts?

-What version of OS X?
-How did you create the yahoo.xlsx file?
-If your contacts are available when logged into Yahoo! via a web browser, they should appear if you setup your Yahoo! account in Apple Mail.

They do appear in Apple Mail, but not in Apple Contacts. Hence, I can use them, but not modify them. I'm very much out of my depth!

OK...

Try this:

-Navigate to System Preferences > Internet Accounts
-Click once on the Yahoo! account in the list on the left - is it listed?
-If so, you should see Contacts on the right, which should be enabled/checked. If not, check the box next to it.

Do you see that?
