How to track uninstallations

I understand that there is a log of the installed apps under console. My question is that once you uninstall an app is it that the installation log also disappears or web can still view the installation log for the particular app?

Hello and welcome.

I believe you should be able to search through the rotated older logs, even if you uninstall an app. In the Console app, they should be located in the /private/var/log section and named install.log or install.log.0.bz2 for the archived ones. You can search for a text string in them to find the correct app you are looking for.
