HELP ME:emac Firmware Hardware Mixup

My emac hardware model PowerPC, G4(1.1) @ 1.25GHz MAC osx 1.3.3(9) boots up to OpenFirmware "Hardware Model: PowerMac 6,4 @1249MHz, 256MB Running OS Build 7G21". I usually have to reinstall using my original CD. I am unable to delete. I have a huge Previous System Folder. I'm booted in a system that is not on my computer. How did it get there and how do I restore my computer to a useable system?????? I have tried everything I know and I have culled to liturature, etc to no avail. Please let there be an unfortunate individual who kknows what I am talking about!!Please:eek:
