El Capitain - mail & time m/c problems

the mail set up did not bring through my old folders. Tried TM and got my saved mail back, but it says its restoring sent and trash, but doesn't. Also I have no deleted items folder.

Sometimes TM goes into a full screen mode and does not show the restore button.

ANY HELP GRATEFULLY ACCEPTED.

Bit disappointed, first time I've had a an upgrade problem since starting with M'Lion.

Hello and welcome.

If you have a lot of email, it can take awhile to update the mailboxes. Did you get a dialog box with a progress report showing the update progress when you first opened Mail in El Capitan?
