deleting unwanted apps from iPad

How can I get rid of unwanted apps from my iPad. Apple says when the icons wiggle, pull down the one you don't want. But this only makes not appear on the home page - I want to know how to delete it from the hard drive (or whatever corresponds to a hard drive on an iPad)

Which particular apps? If they're 3rd party ones you should be able to delete them … when the icons are wiggling there should be a X in the upper corner of the icon … just tap that.

If you sync your iPad with a Mac regularly to stop the app from reappearing you'll need to go into the App Store, find the app then Ctrl-click it to show the menu where you'll be able to delete it from iTunes.
