Got a 31gb partition (don't know how it got there!) on the 1gb. drive. Trying to remove it but Disk Utility says "Not Journaled - goto "File" and "Enable Journaling". This I do but cannot get rid of this partition. Any Ideas?

Hello,

-Did you mean a 31 GB partition on a 1 TB drive?
-Do you have a current Time Machine or other backup?
-How much free space is left on the drive?

Yes, a 31GB partition on a 1 TB drive.
Yes, I have a back up and I reformatted the drive, reinstalled the Backup(Which does not contain the 31GB partition) but there it is again.
Available 825.34GB.

-What brand/model is the 1 TB hard drive?
-Your backup is on another external hard drive, correct?
-I assume you formatted it using Disk Utility?
-Can you upload a screenshot of the Disk Utility window showing the drives and partitions?
