Hello,

When I copy an email address from a plain text file (i.e. (e-mail address removed)) and then paste it to the Mail app "To" text field, the application automatically adds a comma before the email address.

The result looks like the below:
, (e-mail address removed)

Could you please let me know why this is happening (it was not like this before)

Useful information
Mail version 6.6
OSX 10.8.5

Many thanks and kind regards,
Dan

Hi,
How are you copying and pasting, also what type of Mac are you running?

Hi oldscribe,

I have a MacBook Pro 2012, and I am experiencing this issue even when I copy and paste an email address from a plain .txt file.

This was not happening a few weeks ago.

Many thanks for your time and help.

Please let me know if you want me to provide you with further information.

Hi,

Are you just right clicking the email addresses then choosing copy, or are you highlighting them?

Hi,
Since I noticed this weird behaviour of the Mail app, I started making several tests.

This happens even if I manually write an email address within a plain text file (I.e. (e-mail address removed)) and then I copy the email address from the text file and paste it to the TO Mail text field.

If still not clear please let me know (i'my not a native English speake)

I appreciate your help!
