can't access websites

I have mac air & it was fine until this morning. Now I can't access websites-I get the screen "safari can't open page because the server where this page is located isn't responding." I can get search engine home pages and search, but cannot access any of the results. I can't access sites when I type address in either. Oddly, I can access fb. What's wrong?

You could try resetting Safari from the Safari menu.

When resetting Safari, tick all boxes & make sure you know all your website usernames/passwords as these cookies will be wiped. If you don't you can always uncheck that particular box for removing website data.

Thanks. I tried cutting the power to the modem/router then back on. It worked. Not sure why some computers in the house worked and mine didn't, but the problem was apparently not the computer.

Great, turning off the modem for 30 seconds really does help I find.
