Hi there, I'm hoping somebody can help me.

I've just been given a Power Mac G4 that the local college were getting rid of and I'm having trouble trying to connect to the internet.

I'm completely new to Macs so please excuse me if i've missed something obvious!

I have a Power Mac G4 with Dual 1.25 Ghz PowerPC G4 (3.3) cpu type, running OS X 10.4.3.

It didn't come with an airport card or similar, so i have bought an Edimax wireless LAN usb adapter to connect to my wireless router (a Netgear DG834GT).

I have downloaded the OS X drivers and installed the Edimax and a window called Wireless Utility pops up. I'v put my WEP key in and it says its connected but when i try and open a web page in safari or visit the itunes store in itunes it says i'm not connected to the internet.

Under link status it says link quality and signal strength are both good and noise level is normal.

I'm at a loss as to what to try next.

Any ideas?
