I have something called the smoke app which has permission to controll my computer. But I do not have an app by that name. Search as I may nothing comes up by that name. If I google it I get Nest some remote access program. This is not helping my anxiety. Anyone know what this is and how it got there?

I did a little research and found two references to smoke. Autodesk Smoke, which is a professional video effects application...probably not the one that you are seeing. And, it seems that smoke may be a part of Refog, a keylogging application. The latter would be the one that would request access to control your computer. I would try and totally uninstall that - the instructions are on their website which I linked to.

The diagnostic entries you listed are pretty much normal and happen on every Mac.

-Do you known anyone that may have installed Refog at some point?
-How long ago did you become aware of this?
