I have a problem. I recently got Century Link high speed internet for my iMac desktop and, at first, everything worked fine. Then, I did two software updates...a java script and an intel security. Now I can only get 3 applications to work...Firefox, Poker Stars, and Full Tilt. No Safari, no messengers, no Google Earth, no i tunes, or even the image browser for my digital camera. Anybody have any idea as to what happened or how I can remedy this situation?????

Hello, did you repair permissions after the software updates?

Go to Applications/utilities and double click on the Disk Utility icon. In the Disk Utility window on the top left, click on the name of your hard drive, click on the First Aid button at the top of the window (if these aren't already selected, of course) then click on the repair permissions button. I'd recommend downloading a good maintenance app as well.

Invalid node structure
The volume Macintosh HD needs to be repaired.

Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit

Sorry for the delay. Disk Warrior should be able to solve this problem.
