Spore won't work after install

I just installed Spore onto my macbook, and after it went through all the patching and such I could not find it anywhere. So I spotlight searched it and it came up but when I clicked on it the title came up for about 10 seconds, and then the whole thing disappeared. It is not anywhere else on my computer and I don't understand what happened or how to fix it. Hope someone can help!
