Installing and playing games noob

Hello, very new to macs but was happy when I purchased my imac 27 inch last week. Now my question is, I am a starcraft nut. I love all blizzard games but am a total noob at macs. I have no idea how to play. I install it. Click on play game and get nothing but the sound....Black screen. help please. Thanks in advance.
