I am wanting to upgrade to OSX, I currently have OS 9.2. When I put the OSX install disk in and restart the computer to start the install process it boots up to the grey screen with the little comp face on it but then stalls with the pointer spinning in a colored CD. Any help?

Danny which version of OS X (10.1) or OSX 10.2 or higher are you trying to install, what version is your Mac G3, G4, G5, what ?. OS X will work on all, put the disc in, your Mac starts up in OS 9.2 then it will prep your HD to accept OS X then restart and install OS X. you can't jump to OS X (10.2) is way.
Hear some info that may help you.
