kept saying to restart now no input signal G4 power mac

Hi,
I've got a G4 power mac running leopard, my mac started to say I needed to reboot as soon as it started up so I restarted it but the message kept appearing, now its lighting up when I press the on button up and you here the beep but monitor is showing no input signal, tried monitor and tha'ts working fine. Any one know whats gone wrong?
