Please help!

Here's the issue. I've been using my Canon A75 camera for the last year and a half with no issues. All of a sudden today, my e-mac won't recognize that my camera is connected.

I connected the camera to my husband's laptop and his computer recognizes it just fine, so I know it's not the camera - its got to be my e-mac.

I tried deleting the iPhoto preferences file and restarted my computer, but that didn't help at all.

Anybody have any ideas?

Help!!!!!

-Scarlet

Does it work with the supplied ImageBrowser software? Have you tried another USB port? Have you tried reinstalling the driver for the camera? Maybe try repairing disk permissions with Disk Utility.

Cory -

You are a genius!!! I ran the disk utility and it repaired a /tmp file which I think is the right one.

Anyway - my camera is communicating with my computer and all is right with the world. Thanks for the suggestion!!

Not really...runnning Disk Utility's repair disk and repair disk permissions is a standard first step. Solves lots of issues.

Glad you're back up and running.
