depends on what you need the color for. If you are a graphics
person preparing professional work for print publication, then
color is very important. If you just want a colorful experience
surfing the web and pictures that look good enough, then LCD
monitors are fine.
I use a laptop at home, so by definition I'm using an LCD. At
work I have a pair of 18" LCDs attached to my PowerMac G5 (one is
an NEC and the other a Compaq). Both do the job I need them for.
Go to a CompUSA, BestBuy, CircuitCity, etc... and look at some of
the LCD monitors. Browse
http://dealmac.com and see what some of
the 19" monitors are going for.
