Hi everyone..

Sorry for starting new thread,
I installed antivirus avast on my mac, now I want to uninstall that and install another antivirus software, from the application window I drag the avast icon to the trash, when I try to install the other software it keeps telling me that there is another antivirus install on your system?
how do I get rid of avast completly?

thanks

Hi
Have you tried using a free app called appdelete it can be found here
http://www.freemacware.com/appdelete/
It generally does the job, all you do is drag the app icon to the appdelete icon and click go
