How can i transfer all my music to my macbook from my pc?

Hi there im a complete newbie to most things mac and advanced stuff on pc so im wondering if someone could explain this to me really simply.

I have just got my brand new macbook (basic version) and im wanting to transfer all my music from my 'music' file on my pc. Obviously its a bit too big to really transfer using a memory stick or cd so im wondering if i can do it another way?

Anyone who could help me out would be a lifesaver!

Ill need to be told like what to press and stuff cause i have absolutely no idea haha

My pc is running XP and my macs got the newest thing in it!

what software is your music in on your PC ? iTunes ?

all my music is mp3s and on itunes

I forgot to ask have you an iPod?
