Using an older Windows program on new iMac

I have the Oxford Spanish Dictionary on CD-ROM from sometime in the late 1990s. It specifies as system requirements "for Macintosh" a minimum of 68040 processor, hard disk with 23 MB free space, 12 MB RAM, system 7.5 or higher.

I have been using this program on each successive version of Windows, but when trying to install it on my new iMac, I receive a message stating it cannot be installed because the classic environment is no longer supported.

Is there any way to make it work? Or, if I get a newer version that specifies only Windows, will the Mac OS install that?
