Hi

This is my 3rd post and hopefully ill get a reply
So far no one has answered me at all and i am not sure why.

Recently found a powermac G4 look like blue and white Model

After putting in a pc100 ram chip in i get the chime.
i held down the option key during boot up to get to setup screen.
to choose a boot drive, and i see nothing but an arrow to right and
a refresh icon

i have tried different dvd drives and hard drive and still no icons show
i tested the batter and it shows just about dead.

Is this why i get no icons at all on the screen?
Also can i use Ide drives or must they be Ata

i even put ubuntu on a flash drive and i dont even see the Usb flash drive icon up there
i plan to try OS 10 Tiger in the long run as im a BSD Solaris and Vista User
and quite new to this Mac OS

Thank You

Hi. We strive to answer, but there can be several reasons why the answer may be late.

Anyhow: I hope I gave you a little direction here: http://www.mac-help.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7422
