iMac G5 keeps switching itself off - help!

My iMac G5 is just over a year old (so just out of Apple warranty). It has started to randomly switch itself off, sometimes once a day, other times several times in an hour - it doesn't seem to follow a pattern. Have tried all the obvious restarts, repaired permissions, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions, or will I have to take it in for a repair? Cheers for the help.
