Streaming from mac

Hi i wonder if any one here can help me out.

My question:

I own a Mac Book Pro and everything is fine and great. But i happen also to own a Archos 605 PMP, i would like to know if any body here can help me to stream contents from my Mac to my Archos 605 so i m watch movies on it or connect it up to the tv and watch movies from there.
I know that the archos has upnp function, i would have thought that by setting my movies folder to share i should be able to view the movies on my mac from my archos. But when i turn on my archos and search for my upnp network it does not seem to either find the movies folder which i set to share.
