If you connect to the Airport using Airport Utility from your Mac, make sure it's set to Internet over Cable, DHCP etc?
Does your cable provider deal with MAC adresses (not Mac as in Macintosh)? Please tell us as much as you can. You should always state exactly what the error message says.
