MacBook Pro to TV only puts out in black and white

Hey
I bought a DVI to video adapter from my local Apple Store in hopes of using my MacBook Pro on my TV. I bought this cable http://store.apple.com/us/product/M9...es&mco=MTUzNTYI connect the adapter to my computer and then use an S-Video cable to go from the adapter to my TV. I use a audio cable from the headphone jack to the Red-White inputs on my TV.
The video however only comes out in black and white.
How do I fix this?

Not necessarily a solution, but I seem to recall that this issue is somehow related to NTSC/PAL like issues... A general search for Supervideo laptop to TV issues should help as it's not Mac-specific.
