Hi all,

We have an ipod classic 30gb in black. We use it with all our macs (intel, ppc, leopard, tiger) but it seems to have power issues. It works intermittently. Originally, I had thought it needed a replacement battery, now I think it's the power connector at the base of the unit. ie the intermittent behaviour doesn't stop when you connect it to a mac because power is surging throught the cable.

Does anybody have any ideas, or know where I can buy replacement connector?

Thanks guys

I got my 5th gen ipod repair done at http://ipodjuice.com and they did an awesome job. I saw on there that they also offer classic repairs, maybe you could talk to them about what the problem could be.

Make sure you lock it everytime you turn it off, or battery will run down quickly b/c it continues to run.
