Time Warner (Road Runner) Hates My AirPort Extreme Help!!!!

I just got Time Warner internet and it works when i connect it to my MacBook directly but when i connect it to my AirPort Extreme it says that I'm not connected to the internet. I am not that tech savvy and i need help, please
