Yesterday I upgraded my Mini to Leopard, do I need to upgrade X11 and XCode as well? I would like to install Gimp but I know it depends on installed libraries. Thanks

If you installed Leopard you should have the current versions. On Leopard, X11 is installed by default. XCode is up to version 3. I'm downloading version 2.5 for Tiger right now. I'm not very experienced using XCode. I tried that "Hello World" project and it took so long just to make something so rudimentary that I lost interest. Hopefully, Ric will come up with some more XCode projects.

Thanks, I'll get the most recent XCode and I should be good to go for Gimp, hypothetically. I find programming on the Mac painful, too. I'm using Boland Turbo C++ using Parallels on my Mac for recreational programming (Project Euler for instance).

Actually, if you installed Leopard you should have a current version of XCode. You could double check by opening her up and checking the version. If it's version 3 which I'd be surprised if it isn't, you're in business.
I've been playing around a bit with REALbasic. So far so good.

Strange, you might want to try to install it again from your Leopard disc or download it from their site (See link) and run its installer.
