Suggestion for helping new to mac users like me!

Being a bit of an old folk when it comes to computers, I have had to teach myself - which I did - sort of - on Windows.

Due to nasty nasty trojans and such I binned microsoft and got a mac in the hopes of virus free internet pleasure. So far this has been a good choice.

BUT!

I am a Mac idiot...I don't know anything. So much is different. Hence my seeking out this forum.

Do you think it might be a good idea to start a new board for Mac newbies?
With really basic info, that you guys wouldn't think twice about, but for people like me would be invaluable!

A board that would talk a person used to using a PC through the basic setting up of a Mac?

....just a selfishly motivated suggestion!
