i pod help

Hi Everyone

this is my first post and i hope you can help, i have a 40gb click wheel i pod which has been freezing for a while now but i have always been able to use the restart option to get it to work again.
However yesterday i tried to put some more music on it from my i tunes folder and it didn't appear on my pc the words do not disconnect appear but after an hour nothing else was happening it was just making a constant whirring sound.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Hi Tony,

Should of said first...I presume you have restarted the PC and the iPod...

If you haven't then this is the first thing to try...what's it doing now ?
