I recently purchased a book so I could begin learning to use AppleScript and XCode. I ran into some trouble in Interface Builder. I want to add a clicked event handler to a button on my window but where the book says to add it (on the button inspector window) there is not an AppleScript choice on the drop down menu. The only choices are attributes, connections, size, bindings, custom class, and help. Im not using the current version because Im using OS X 10.3. Thank you for helping.

Hi and welcome.

Which book did you buy?

Cocoa or Carbon app?

Did you install the complete Developer Tools package?

I bought AppleScript Studio Programming for the Absolute Beginner by Jerry Lee Ford because it looked like the only one that would keep my attention, unlike the giant text book looking ones.

Cocoa.

And yes, Im pretty sure it was the complete package. There was only one installer that did the complete package.
