Screen lines vertical on the screen

Does anyone know how to remove the lines on the screen? I started with one and now I have three. Thanks in advance for any help.

What type of Mac have you got ? OS X version ?

Thank you for responding...and yes I have tried to re-start...on many occasions
but the lines stay on the screen all the time...on a few occasions one of the lines disappears...but re-appears...I have a G3 IBook little laptop...w/10.3.9 version OS...
I may have to go to the Apple store and speak to the "Genius" folks...

try and restart using the original System CD...do the lines still appear ?

If you have a local Apple Store that may be easier...as they can 'see' it.

The first thing I would do is check that it's not a software problem...(as above)

If the lines still appear after booting from the original disk, then the chances are it's a hardware problem...which is hard to diagnose from here. It mayjust be a lose cable, or the screen may be on it's way out.
