Just a quick photo from the fireworks here tonight. Image taken with Nikon D1 from my backyard.

Enjoy,

Thanks Ric.

First time I ever shot fireworks. Out of 45 photos or so, that's the best, and only about 10 are really useable. It's tougher than I thought!

Not bad for first time and only a 2.74MP relic like my D1!

Did you have the camera on a tripod ? Fast / slow exposure ?

Or is it just point and shoot, (my way !).

Lens: Micro 105mm 2.8D AF
ISO: 200
WB: Daylight -2

Thanks Danster...

Not bad for a small town of about 29,000 in the US! You should see the fireworks in Washington, D.C./Boston/New York/Los Angeles/Columbus, OH! They are really amazing.

That Nikon D1, even though it's almost five years old, still amazes me.

Cheers,

C

P.S. The secret...it's all in the post-processing!

No color adjustments, just a little trimming and downsizing.

And what in this world isn't (re)touched by human hands these days?
