Way to make iCal 5.0 view look like icloud.com interface? (Lion 10.7))

Anyone know a way to make iCal 5.0 view look like the iCloud.com interface for calendar? Compare the two in the attached pictures. Unlike the iCloud calendar page (second pic,) iCal (first pic) does not seem to enable you to view your calendar list on the complete, sleek, leather background next to your calendar and reminders lists, and lacks the month timeline bar at the bottom (using Lion.) The pull down for your calendars list is the only option I have discovered.

Nope, it's the new iPad way.

Too bad if so, the calendar list on the side is better than a temporary pulldown when you have a lot of calendars. Since I use full screen quite a bit in iCal, I wouldn't mind devoting the extra screen real estate to it, either.
