I get this error message when trying to install new software on my MacBook Pro lately. I have confirmed (by friends with pc) that the original as well as a replacement disc is indeed NOT blank and a valid installable program.

Ideas anyone on how I can get my Mac to recognize the disc for what it really is...

Many thanks,
Mike

And what disk is it? Try putting a music CD in and see if you get the same message.
