I don't use this pre intel machine any more but in my absence it got knocked to the hard floor and no longer works. There is no physical damage to the casing or the screen and the power cord works perfectly. Before I think of taking it to a specialist, is there anything I can look for that may have come adrift if I take it apart? To take it apart I can see only 2 or 3 screws underneath...are these holding in the works?

Thanks, that's what I am thinking too. I phoned my insurer who say I have £100 excess to pay if I claim for a repair then I checked ebay where a G5 barely brings in £100 so I guess I'll take it to the tip.
