i have an 867MHz G4 with a 17" Apple studio display. the keyboard is plugged into the back of the display and last night the keyboard woudn't work. This morning it did and tonite it doesn't so i plugged it into the firewire port on the processor. Do the firewire ports on the back of the display malfunction? I've had this system since '02 and never had a problem until yesterday. Anyone else experience this problem? Thanks

Hi and welcome Cindy.

Actually, the keyboard uses USB. The ports can go bad, but it's not common. You could alwys try plugging another USB device (mouse) into the port on the display to see if it's working. Also, you could shut down your Mac and let it sit for a bit, then start it back up and see if the problem persists.
