New home is about ready, (carpets down - curtains going up!).

Will be turning off the forums on the 'Laptop' at 9PM BST tonight. (GMT +1)

The website will stay up on the laptop. Database will get exported and dropped into new home, then once everything 'appears' to be working on the new server - I will update the new DNS nameservers and depending where you are the website will come back up - I will send out an email once I know that everything is up and running.

You should be able to tell because the front page will say 'This is on the new server'. The 'laptop' will say 'This is the old server'

Hope to see you all soon...

Thanks Cory.

Still not quite right, am working on it though.

www.mac-help.com

doesn't take you to the 'home page' at the minute, '.htaccess' issues....

www.mac-help.com/forums/index.php

works

www.mac-help.com/index2.php

works

nearly there

Thanks Cory,

Yes www.mac-help.com/index2.php has been removed now - renamed to index.php

so www.mac-help.com is the same as www.mac-help.com/index.php

and for those that don't like the portal page you can go directly to the forums at

www.mac-help.com/forums/index.php

off to bed now, late night last night !

Ships all yours - let me know how she handles in the morning ! LOL

best wishes

Ric
