Hi Guys,
We are a Mac Household with MacBook, iPad, iTouch, Apple TV, and my pride and joy, my 6 month old iMac.
I will go to a more appropriate Board to seek your pearls of wisdom, my problem is with a Pop Up Ad telling me I may have won an iPhone but it is obviously not from Apple.
C.

Welcome to Mac Help.

If you use Safari, user the Safari menu, choose "Block popup windows"

Thanks Karazelle, I have always had Safari set to "Block Popup windows" but on that occasion the popup got through. In fact I have had a couple of popups since then that have got through, although I was able to just close them, unlike the one that I asked and received help for on this forum.

By the way, before you ask, yes I am running the latest version of Safari, my iMac is only 12 months old and I have Lion installed. I am now awaiting the first reviews on Mountain Lion with interest.

Regards
Carol
