hi, Im trying to get the F keys to work as their standard functions instead of the special ones, however when i ticked the box on the keyboards preferences that should do the perfect thing, it only works with F1,2,7,8,9,10,11 and 12, not f3,4,5 or 6, which are the key ones i need to change. I even downloaded functionflip but the same thing happened - holding fn has no effect on f3-f6.

Just as a side not, I can hold down alt and they work properly, but I don't want to have to do this, it is extremely inconvenient.

Thanks!

Have you checked the existing Keyboard Short Cuts to make sure they are not already allocated.

Also there is a known issue with newer keyboards and the older versions of OS X, where the F keys don't work as expected.
