Mail signature not working

I'm running an old G4 with OSX (10.4.1) and Safari.

I set up the signature, but the pull down menu is gray and will not recognize my signature.

I tried to start over, input a new signature and re-start computer, but the drop down menu still says "None".

I used to have it working, so I'm not sure why it is not working now.

In the Signature Panel you need to also Drag it onto the Account in the List beside it. Just making a Sig does not link it to the Account, its a 2 step process.

I tried that, restarted the mail program, but it didn't work.

In the left panel it has "All Signatures" 1 signature.
"POP account" 1 signature.

The drop down menu is still gray and says "None".

Is the program possibly corrupted?

No not the Application.

Try adding another one. And log right out and back in again.

you only have 1 Mail Account?
