Incompatibility between OS Lion and Dreamweaver

Ever since I installed OS Lion and then the most recent update, I no longer can work with Dreamweaver. I can open the Programs, both CS 4 and CS 5.5, can call up html files I want to work on, I can delete stuff, but I cannot add - there simple is no response when I type.
This happens both the a wireless and a regular keyboard.
While I can change parameters in the Preference section of CS 4, trying to do so in CS 5.5 immediately provokes an error and closes the program.
Any suggestion?

Adobe Products need to be updated from Adobe, there is little you can do but add your voice to this issue over at the Adobe support.

that sums them up.

You could try deleting the Preference Files

Quit all Adobe products, then
in Finder from the Go menu select Go to Folder...
~/Library/Preferences

look through the list to find the Dreamweaver ones and Trash them, it will make a fresh set when you launch Dreamweaver.

Unless you have a pressing need I'd look for an alternative solution, I use Rapidweaver, CSSEdit and BBEdit.
